Jules

Los Angeles artist who turns photographs and film into onchain works that change over time, known for The Flowers Project and Birds.

The Garden at Roys

The first Flowers appear on a shared marketplace contract, planned as 100 photographs. Six leave the artist's wallet, five as sales, and all six are back by December 15.

Flower #01

On July 4, Jules deploys the dynamic contract and mints all 50 Flowers in one transaction.

The first Flowers sell on July 13. By July 19, 33 of the 50 have left the artist's wallet.

Early collectors receive ALIVΞ, an animated edition with five looks set by ether's daily move.

The Flower Garden opens on July 12 with CYDR's take on all 50, airdropped to each Flower's holder.

Olivia Pedigo's 50 Flowers, remade in 3D, join the Garden on November 3.

Series

In their physical form, flowers represent a circle of life from seed to growth to eventual bloom and death. In digital form, these flowers become immortal.

Each flower was hand-selected, staged, and photographed. Each photograph then underwent a process of analog interference via a custom CRT circuit-bending machine.

The Flowers state is determined by on-chain logic. The smart contract leverages Chainlink's decentralized ETH/USD oracle to assess market fluctuations. The contract compares the current value of Ether to its previous day's price. An inversion where decline, rather than appreciation, prompts the works final state.
