About servants of the Muse
servants of the Muse is a set of 69 numbered collector badges by Alpha Centauri Kid. Since 2023 all 69 show one blood-red coin, and only the number changes. One side shows a skull ringed by Roman numerals, like a clock face. The other holds a skull outline filled with sheet music, a rose at its center, and a rim that reads I LIVE TO SERVE. Its film turns the coin once in twenty seconds. All 69 share one poem, opening "the servant serves, without a question." The Muse is ACK's name for the force he says drives his work.
The coins began as badges. ACK created the ACK Collector Badges contract on the last day of 2021 and minted 50 badges hours later. Each was a gold police badge stamped PEPE ENFORCEMENT, listing joke perks such as the right to draw Pepes on museum paintings. They were gifts, sent to collectors who already owned one of his one-of-one works, most within three days. He minted 19 more through September 2022, nearly all straight to their first owner. Over five days in September 2023 he rewrote all 69, from a rose carved in red stone to the coin and poem seen today. The files sit on Arweave.
Visual Trophy wrote in 2022 that badge holders were guaranteed "priority access to future collections and editions." That September, holders could claim pale blue death (a color study) for free, the edition that set off The Great Color Study. Sotheby's sold servant of the Muse #19 in a 2024 online sale. As ACK's market climbed in 2025, Roger Dickerman of 24 Hours of Art told nft now that the rush passed through these coins on its way to The Broken Keys.
What to look for
Two mints
The first 50 were minted in one batch as 2022 began and were numbered out of 50 until 2023. The other 19 were minted one at a time from February to September 2022, 17 of them straight to their first owner.
