PILGRIMAGE, Day #5132, May 24, 2021

About BEEPLE: EVERYDAYS

Everydays is Beeple's daily habit. Since May 1, 2007, he has made a new picture from start to finish every day and posted it. This contract does not hold them all. It holds the single days he picks out to mint as one of ones, 127 by October 2026, which Castello di Rivoli describes as a few Everydays taken from "the great flow" of his images. Nearly every token is one picture with a short video that drifts slowly across it, and a black card printed on the image gives the title, the day number, the date, his notes and the tools. The subjects range from quiet landscapes to satire of tech, crypto and politics, with Elon Musk, Pooh and Jabba among the recurring cast.

Beeple deployed the contract on June 2, 2022, and minted PILGRIMAGE, Day #5132, as its first token. There was no public sale. He mints each piece to his own wallet and later sends it to a collector, sometimes alone and sometimes in a batch. Those handovers carry no payment onchain, so what the first owners paid is not public. Later resales are on record. The days run from SUN CHIPS, drawn in June 2007, the project's second month, to REGULAR ANIMALS, Day #6778, from November 2025, and a dozen were still with Beeple in October 2026. The images and videos are hosted on Beeple's own site, not onchain.

Everydays is the body of work behind his best-known sale: in 2021 Christie's sold a collage of the first 5,000 of them, minted as a separate token. In 2023 he gave FTX BOARD MEETING, Day #5676, to Castello di Rivoli near Turin, together with a large oil painting of it. It was the first NFT in the museum's collection.

What to look for

Paintings to match

The card printed on 36 of these tokens also names a physical work, most often an oil painting on canvas. The paintings run from 12 inches square up to 72 by 58 inches.

The first year

Everydays began on May 1, 2007, with drawings. These five come from its first six months, done in pen and colored pencil on paper, years before the 3D renders that fill most of the contract.

Anniversaries

Two days here fall on May 1, the date the project began, and are titled for it: FOURTEEN YEARS in 2021 and THE NEXT FIFTEEN YEARS in 2022.
