FEWOCiOUS

FEWOCiOUS is the name Victor Langlois works under. He grew up in Las Vegas, began making art at 13 and is based there today. He works in painting, digital art and sculpture. Decrypt called him a "crypto art surrealist", and on his website he says he paints "what's hard to say out loud."

He sold his first painting in March 2020 and found collectors on SuperRare and Nifty Gateway. In 2021 he released My Head In Your Hands with the musician Two Feet, made virtual sneakers with RTFKT, and joined parrot_ism, odious and Jonathan Wolfe on Fabricated Fairytales.

That June, Christie's held an online sale of five works titled Hello, i'm Victor (FEWOCiOUS) and This Is My Life. Each lot stands for one year of his life, from 14 to 18, and pairs a short video NFT with a physical painting and archival NFTs of drawings and journal entries from that year. The series follows him questioning his gender, from Year 1, Age 14 - It Hurts To Hide to Year 4, Age 17 - His Name Is Victor. He was then the youngest artist to hold a solo sale at Christie's.

In October 2021 Sotheby's London sold Nice to meet you, I'm Mr. MiSUNDERSTOOD, a six-foot sculpture of plaster, wood and fabric, paired with an NFT. In April 2022 he released Paint Drop on Nifty Gateway, the first step toward a digital world he calls FewoWorld. That year he also redesigned the logo and cover of Billboard's Pride issue and made a work for Bowie on the Blockchain with the David Bowie Estate. Fortune had named him to its NFTy 50 in 2021.
