About diewiththemostlikes

diewiththemostlikes is an artist and writer based in Indiana. His digital drawings and animated loops are crowded with melting, wide-eyed figures, set in strip malls, retention ponds, video-call meetings and heaps of ground meat. The work mocks social media, life lived as a chain of transactions, and the NFT market itself. He has published five books with three international publishers.

He minted his first NFT on Foundation in March 2021, after a joke campaign poster he made for the comedian Eric Andre went viral. Early pieces there include Microsoft Office Eternal Suffering. His "good meat" posts began as a parody of crypto's daily "gm" greetings, and meat became a running motif, from legalize ground beef to the portraits in ponderosa meat managers.

In September 2023 he released chub pack on Nifty Gateway, 364 packs that each held one random work. That month he and Transient Labs hosted the closing event of Art Blocks Weekend in Marfa, Texas, with a surprise mint of 666 generative Beef Brothko works. In May 2024 he spent a month in residence at Glitch Marfa and released nameless dread on Art Blocks. Its 669 hand-drawn office workers sit inside a video-call frame over animated generative backgrounds. Other sets of 1/1s include exist to submit and dying is not enough.

His work was shown in 2121, DART's crypto art exhibition at the Museo della Permanente in Milan (2021 to 2022). His bios also list the Decentral Art Pavilion during the Venice Biennale and a Times Square showing with Art Innovation Gallery.
