For omentejovem, the concept of ‘desire’ underpins this work. I Am Where You Aren’t offers the collector a choice between two perspectives of the same piece, to be switched on-chain. Choosing between the mirrored versions, the artist wants you to explore the tension between longing for something and not having control over that, and being present somewhere whilst also wanting to be in another, distant place. Each carrying its own absence, omentejovem purposely shaped both sides, reflecting opposing yet connected positions.
