Description

An Observation made within Sam Spratt's "IX. The Monument Game" - My climb from the river was a challenge, water flows murky with experienced filth. I stand at the shore, naked in shameful vulnerability yet uncaring & at peace with past mistakes. These waters leave streaks of dishonesty and folly over me, though cleanse in the same wake. Peers reach out, unclear whether they seek help or rather company within the miserable bliss of the current. It both pains and humbles me knowing I can't help. I stand here questioning whether I'm the same as I was on the other side.

Sam Spratt - LUCI: Chapter 5 - The Monument Game

Sam Spratt’s LUCI series is not just a collection of digital paintings—it is a living mythology woven from art, narrative, and community participation. Known for his mastery of chiaroscuro and textured realism, Spratt crafts images that feel like lost relics from an alternate history, layering classical techniques with modern storytelling. LUCI, the central figure of this series, is more than a character; it is an archetype, an emblem of human curiosity, memory, and self-reflection. By grounding his digital works in timeless artistic traditions, Spratt bridges the gap between classical painting and the new frontier of blockchain art, where permanence is redefined through technology.
