An Observation made within Sam Spratt's "IX. The Monument Game" - There is often a great deal of complexity involved in the process of transferring power. The Skull of Luci is arguably one of the most significant pieces of power which represents The Council. Shown simply here, the skull is passed down and is now ready for the next descendant of power. We are unable to identify the power that receives the skull, demonstrating a deeper meaning behind this lore. It is only a matter of time before the meaning of this symbolism is unveiled.
Sam Spratt’s LUCI series is not just a collection of digital paintings—it is a living mythology woven from art, narrative, and community participation. Known for his mastery of chiaroscuro and textured realism, Spratt crafts images that feel like lost relics from an alternate history, layering classical techniques with modern storytelling. LUCI, the central figure of this series, is more than a character; it is an archetype, an emblem of human curiosity, memory, and self-reflection. By grounding his digital works in timeless artistic traditions, Spratt bridges the gap between classical painting and the new frontier of blockchain art, where permanence is redefined through technology.
