An Observation made within Sam Spratt's "IX. The Monument Game" - We are Black and White
Children of the sun and the night
We are united
We are divided
Why do we fight?
Why can’t we live at peace under the same rights?
We may come from a different place
But at night we all look and dream about the same space
We all see the same moonlight
During the day but especially during the darkest of nights
Black or white we all turn grey
We all turn into ashes at the end of our days
We are Black and White
And choose to no longer divide, but unite

Sam Spratt’s LUCI series is not just a collection of digital paintings—it is a living mythology woven from art, narrative, and community participation. Known for his mastery of chiaroscuro and textured realism, Spratt crafts images that feel like lost relics from an alternate history, layering classical techniques with modern storytelling. LUCI, the central figure of this series, is more than a character; it is an archetype, an emblem of human curiosity, memory, and self-reflection. By grounding his digital works in timeless artistic traditions, Spratt bridges the gap between classical painting and the new frontier of blockchain art, where permanence is redefined through technology.
