City of Gods

Rio is a beautiful city, full of energy, life, and infinite stories. The city flows up and down the valley walls, through the highs and lows of the undulating landscape.

It was looking across these valleys, towards the favelas that rose up into the clouds above, that gave me a scale and context and sense of density that moved me deeply. For although the city itself held beauty, it was the people within it that filled my heart with such a sense of wonder and awe.

Wherever I go in this wide world, I am amazed at the care, the hospitality, and generosity of the people I encounter. This was especially true of my time in Rio, and I can't wait to share more about this work and our experience there together.
