The LVOA-SDK is a near-future concept redesign of the present day LVOA. Designed with a closed chamber and receiver, the SDK platform is built to greatly extend endurance in the field. The smart bolt chamber system automates firing rates, and optimizes barrel temperature and moisture levels for consistent projectile velocity in any climate. Optics and IR tagging hardware are powered by detachable, disposable Lithium charge sticks, designed to endure months of rigorous use. Thanks to a modified fore-chamber, the LVOA-SDK has been reformatted to accept ceramic-jacketed, caseless .308 marksman rounds, replacing the traditional NATO option of it's predacessor with a far more accurate, lethal option. This concept is an exploration into near-future, grounded weapon design - a genre that inspires me very much. Modeled in Maya, materials and presentation in Keyshot. This is #3 in the series.
