Arctic Ice Melting

As an artist with environmental concerns, I very often convey my expression in my compositions, about our Earth's future, in a direct manner to at times, also subtle. The title says where my thoughts are on a dramatic issue of our Earth's future. Global Warming is a study I've pursued, being an issue that's deeply inspired me, to speak on it visually. This art piece has contrast, with cool colours being persuasive to the viewer, as my intention. The forms and patterns within have an effect that works together, of a flow to shifting areas, causing a tension, as angled patterns clash, repetition above created as an illusive swaying motion, as textural waves crash over a wide dark rugged land forms. I worked from watercolour/photos and thus, trying many times with varied colours/patterns, this was finally the result I wanted.
