Somewhere There's A World Beyond This Pond...

This painting was to display when, well, my art stream starts. It took a bit of time to figure out what sort of picture do I want to paint? The first draft was the Lovable One staring into the sunset and then ...it turned into this.

I always liked looking into ponds, like somehow there's a world that we don't see that we can just dive in and explore. For the stream, I left the pond translucent so the viewers can peek into the pond and see what I'm setting up (which is usually art programs, music, discord, etc).

The sky was going to be a regular sky until my pen pressure failed a bit and I started swirling out of a little frustration. Well, I seemed to like the swirliness and I wondered if putting a bit of Van Gogh starry night feel would be a bad thing to put.
