After Mubarak’s resignation I wanted to capture Egypt in this moment of celebration. While the highest political power in the land now formally rests with the Egyptian armed forces the military tanks fills the streets, they were met with love.

Egyptians have discovered afresh that with unity, passion, courage, and determination, they too can make history. As people celebrated, took selfies with the tanks, other young men staying put day and night - even daring to sleep on the metal tracks of army tanks - and others distributing free blankets and food to demonstrators, neatly repainting the sidewalks and collecting rubbish, restoring the streets.
