Echoes of 2020 - Steel The Genesis collection. Audio on is highly recommended.
In 2020 humanity witnessed a catastrophe which altered the way we live, love and communicate. The "other" became a threat and a virus attempted to kill our very own "being human", our interconnectedness. A sense of division and confusion gradually started to feel as ordinary as breathing.
"Echoes of 2020" is my attempt to bear witness, find meaning and healing through the power of sculpture. A series of four unique portraits, with uniquely scored soundscapes, researching the fragile and beautiful human nature we all share. The seamless audio journey is designed to bring the audience into the here and now of each piece, suggesting a fundamental subtext. A reminder that behind the chaos, the words and struggle we're intimately of the same essence.
