Two women under the sea

For many years I have been interested in exploring the possibilities of movement with my painting. I've been exploring it in many ways on traditional canvas, but is not until now with the existence of NFT technology that I can finally put a fair value into the digital final piece, that I dare to try such an ambitious task as a traditional animation frame-by-frame in such a complicated medium as oil painting.

The water has been perfect for that purpose. The interaction between the two female figures in conjunction with the water brings a poetic element to the gaze that lets me explore each brushstroke with looseness because the piece is not about the paint itself any more but about the dance between the colors that evoke each element.

This type of piece is a long-term job which demands me a big commitment, discipline and work. It is built handmade oil on cardboard one by one each of the 36 frames that compose the complete sequence. Then I photograph each painting and I sequence them with After Effects with the sound design I previously mixed as a collage of sounds that helped me evoke the sensation I pursue in the piece as a whole.

This is my first attempt at frame-by-frame oil animation and my first piece minted here.
