"The buzz is incessant: I close my eyes, I take a breath and I try to swat them away. The less attention they get, the louder they become. They are a part of me, but they are not me and don’t define who I am."
During this five part series WhereIDraw explores the stigmatised subject of mental illness that much of Western society, in particular men, struggle with in silence. Semblance of Earth looks at his ongoing struggle with intrusive thoughts using art as both a therapy and a visual tool to present vulnerabilities as a strength to be celebrated, not a weakness to be hidden.
