THE CAT by Anna Wilding

This is a cat. I drew this digitally free hand using the mousepad. It was a bit of cat and mouse. I wanted to capture a moment in time and wanted the viewer to feel the night, the silence and stillness of the night, the power strength and aloneness of the cat in the black night. The cat as he surveys the world . By creating a deeply ink black sky, and excluding light off the ferris wheel ,and a handful of carefully placed stars, including the Big Dipper, this digital art piece highlights and freezes the moment of quiet on a still night. Just like a photograph. There is movement in the image exemplified by the ferris wheel - we know time keeps moving yet it freezes a moment caught in the blink of an eye.
