Lilium, is the fourth artwork in a larger series about flowers.
The black lily represents mourning and grief. Everything is destined to end. But whenever one thing ends, something new is born. Perhaps this is also why the lily represents purity. A reminder that from all the losses we face in life, we can always start anew.
This work explores the harmonious relationship between algorithms, mathematics, nature, and beauty.
Every leaf, flower, and ornamental detail in this artwork has been created by using a custom build procedural system. The woman herself has been sculpted by hand
This artwork was created in July 2021. It was produced using Houdini, Zbrush, Marvelous Designer, Adobe Photoshop, and Octane Render
