A Room of Curious Developments

This piece came out of an exploration I began in the spring of 2021 of making still lifes. The idea of making the still life series was to set myself on a journey of focus, and discovery, in which I limited myself to looking at and exploring a small set of things, or objects, and ‘paint’ them through the use of light and color. In this ‘not so still life’ I introduced motion. It’s the first still life from this series I added movement and sound to and am quite pleased. The intent is to create a curious, magical room, where for a moment the mind can revel, and travel somewhere else.
