Late into the evening on Earth Day, April 22, 2021 artist David Popa places the final touches on the ephemeral land art mural "Born Of Nature 2" This was the final opportunity to finish the piece as the following day the oncoming rain would wash a majority of the earth pigments away.
"Born of Nature II" is the second collaboration between visual artists David Popa and Juuso Hämäläinen. Located on an islet off the coast of Helsinki, the Project spans from painting, photography, videography, music and 3D sculpture. The end result is the documentation of a massive, ephemeral land art mural that will ultimately fade from the elements.
