A Lady in Red is a photograph of a woman inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's masterpiece Mona Lisa. I challenged myself to create a portrait that would embody the feminine elegance of a modern woman like a Renaissance painting.
It was important to me to keep the red accent color on the accessories, dress and hair. Red is the color of blood, fire, and it is often connected with meanings of power, love, romance and passion. My idea was to create a Masterpiece that embodied all those meanings.
The background is a photo I took while on a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon in Arizona, USA. Every element on this image was captured and edited by me.
