The Ruling Hand – The King

The King. This token represents a chess piece from the CHESS OF HALFY.

Although The King is not a strong fighter, he is the sharpest thinker. As the strategic leader and ruler by blood, he is the most important unit to be defended. His physical appearence is weak, crippled and pathetic – but his mind is severly powerful. The King is marked with the crown and the cross above his head, but he is not in need of those relics. In a matter of seconds, his long lasting and persuasive stare binds your soul to him. Loyality to The King is the only thought you will be able to grasp as you look into his eyes. He is ruling over you with the cold hand of a tyrant, but he values your tribute highly and guides you carefully. If he sacrifices your mortal shell, it might feel wrong, but your mind will understand why – as you get involved.

Unless he has to, he will not be a fighter on the battlefield. Due to his lost leg and decaying body, he does not move quickly. His appearance in combat brings a strange aura to the field and can have an effect on his loyal units. In rare cases, his underlings feel the sudden urge to act from an instict as they forecast an attack on their leader. They leap in and sacrifice themselves, sometimes contradicting their original order.

Empowerment: The owner of this token receives the blessing and curse of power. A vibrant aura of authority, respect and grace is following you, but it comes along with high expectations. There is no victory without blood.
