bitMangrove:ONE

This 3D Mangrove I've created has been converted into ASCII. Looking closely you will notice the piece is made up of Numbers, Letters and Punctuation. This is the World's First NFT that is directly related to the planting of Mangroves. I was inspired by the film "The Matrix" where the lead character Neo looks at a screen of code and interprets what it is. Even though this is made entirely of characters, its very clear what this is. A Mangrove Tree. The audio is representative of what will happen when more mangroves are planted. A restoration of the ecosystem.

Mangroves are one of the largest sources of carbon drawdown. They are also a nursery for fisheries allowing our populations to really flourish. Mangroves are also an important tool in the fight against storm surge. Working with the ULTRAMARINE network. I am supporting the team responsible for restoring coastlines in the BVI. Our plan is to prove this works in the BVI and take it to the rest of the world. This is only the beginning. Now an NFT that not just draws down carbon but helps re-wild The Ocean.
