Schein – Living with the Illness

Part three of the short-story Schein.

Contact with any object has the potential to trigger obsessive thoughts. The person suffering from OCD becomes entangled in an ever deeper network of rules and rituals that can very quickly affect every aspect of life. That said, the underlying logic of the illness, order and perfection, can be filtered out and harnessed for good once somone learns to deal with the disease.

Visual translation: The protagonist is chased by objects in the city that want to bring him back to the monster. But during the escape he comes to a crossroad and for a brief moment the disease helps him to recognize the right way.
