What does this piece represent?
I wanted to use a shape with hard edges. I really enjoy seeing the result of the medium breaking past the edges of the composition and creating balance.
Here, the sun is offset from the bonsai, and the depth of the sprawling mountains is pronounced. While creating this, I entered the flow state and allowed the textures and brushes to create layers of depth that deepened the world.
Why is this piece important to you?
This is the third Zenscape I have ever created and the depth and simplicity of this piece will always be another step forward for me.
What tools were used to create it?
This was created in Procreate and animated in Motionleap.
