Ridged Titan

Ridged Titans draw this common name from their hulking stature relative to other cryptobiotic life found thus far, and are the first to be discovered among the Convallis family. This species also features a clearly defined nucleolus concealed beneath the churning valleys and deep ridges that permeate its otherwise smooth outer surface. At the scale of this creature, its turbulent form demands abundant amounts of energy which it manages to collect at somewhat lower levels of the energy column through its powerhouse of an electrophic metabolism. Its tremendous appetite is additionally supplemented by the passive absorption of smaller organisms; any unlucky enough to find themselves trapped within its swirling ravines rarely escape. This makes Bracteae secreta the first unwitting predator to be discovered among this new domain of life.
