A morning stroll and calmness before all responsibilities.
This is #1 of 4 of my rider series.
This illustration first started with a traditional sketch at my desk in 2012 while working at Framestore on Edge of Tomorrow and also Marvel's THOR: the dark world. I worked heavily in digital and always needed that sketchpad next to me to free up my own ideas and passion while waiting for renders and feedback. Here you can see the very first sketch posted JULY 8, 2012:

I have always enjoyed the sketch and thought the illustration unfinished so 3 years later I scanned and finished it in photoshop. By that time I was working at Rocksteady Studios on Batman: Arkham Knight The first finished post was June 30, 2015, on Instagram here:

I grew up in Montana, and my only friends for a while were our 3 horses: Charlie, Cindy, and Babe. Since I was 8 years old, the #1 rule we had in the house was that the horses eat before I do. An important lesson I still carry today.
