This is the bus stop outside of my 3rd Avenue apartment in New York. One night while I was having a glass of wine, I was looking out the window and it struck me that the light emitting from the side panel lit up the glass and metal of the bus stop. I built the structure from scratch and this was the result.
The slim blue panel on the right side of the structure is a cross-section of my artwork "Everybody Acts Crazy Nowadays" and the red-orange piece displayed on the left side is a separate artwork of mine depicting a light being standing on the edge of a cliff; the slim green panel on the top-left side is my name, a sort of signature. Everything from the size and texture of the tiling to the darkness of the entire piece is exactly how it is outside my apartment at night.
As with every piece in my Light Beings series, the glowing person represents energy, consciousness, and pure awareness. They are the visual representation of someone with no identity, the essence of who everyone is deep down.
