This image was the first of a series of 2 Kickoff images that I was commissioned to illustrate on behalf of the NFL in 2017. That same year, the Quest Begins illustration received a webby honoree award (https://winners.webbyawards.com/2018/social/social-content-series-campaigns/sports/44119/the-quest-begins-32-teams-1-goal) and it was featured in Adweek (https://www.adweek.com/performance-marketing/twitter-nfl-2017-kickoff/). The Quest Begins is currently featured as the NFL Social Lab's main header image: (https://www.nflsociallab.com/)
This image broke some key records for the NFL social team in 2017 garnering 2.9 million impressions on Twitter and 420k engagements in Instagram.
It was digitally illustrated in Photoshop with a Cintiq 22HD. It took roughly 40 hours to complete.
