Metamorfosis
There are dramatic metamorphoses in short time. There are also imperceptible changes day by day, but implacable and irreversible, as well as invisible but transcendental mutations in the long term.
Everything changes: matter and energy; flesh and spirit. Our bodies and minds are the arena for a continuous battle between dynamic forces and inertial forces againts change.
The mystery of living beings is their constant transformation without ceasing to be themselves. The paradox of life is to be change in essence but to lead inevitably to death: to immobility, to the halt of all transformation. But the death of an individual is only a part of a succession of lives and deaths. It is not a cycle that ends where it started, but an evolutionary process over thousands of years that distances the species from what they were once. Nothing endures; only change is constant.
