Bitcoin Empress

When I start drawing in this style, I notice that inner gates of symbols collected in my life open up. As an admirer of art since I was born, they begin to emerge from Quetzalcoatl to the naive drawings on Easter eggs, Russian art, Chinese art, filigree, Argentinean filleting. They are flashes that are transformed and resignified in every detail that I draw. It is a process of patience, an embroidery where each brushstroke is a thread of nostalgia, of memories that need to be expressed, that are summoned unconsciously. They are drawings or symbols of my own that are repeated when I am talking on the phone or making the shopping list. Birds, dragons, snakes, flowers, strokes where perfection is a detail that I do not seek, it is chaos, the heartbeat, it is the expression of my thoughts. In this series dedicated to Blockchain, to Ethereum now arises the Bitcoin Empress that rules us in this new world that is built daily. I needed to express her from the intimate, childlike drawing because for all of us it is a beginning that reaches us and takes us to navigate in deep waves, in foamy crests towards... we still don't know it but we are and we try to give our mark. 10 or 20 years ago blockchain and the cryptomoney would have been a fairy tale and today it is a reality that we are privileged to live.

Emperatriz Bitcoin Cuando empiezo a dibujar con este estilo, observo que se abren compuertas interiores de símbolos recogidos en mi vida. Como admiradora del arte desde que nací, empiezan a surgir desde Quetzalcóatl hasta los dibujos naif en los huevos de pascua, el arte ruso, el arte chino, la filigrana, el fileteo argentino. Son fogonazos que se transforman y se resignifican en cada detalle que voy dibujando. Es un proceso de paciencia, un bordado donde cada pincelada es una hebra de nostalgia, de recuerdos que necesitan expresarse, que son convocados inconscientemente. Son dibujos o símbolos propios que se repiten cuando estoy hablando por teléfono o haciendo la lista de las compras. Aves, dragones, serpientes, flores, trazos en donde la perfección es un detalle que no busco, es el caos, el latido, es la expresión de mis pensamientos. En esta serie dedicada a Blockchain, a Ethereum ahora surge la Emperatriz Bitcoin que nos rige en este nuevo mundo que se construye diariamente. Necesité expresarla desde el dibujo intimista, infantil porque para todos nosotros es un comienzo que nos alcanza y nos lleva a navegar en olas profundas, en crestas espumosas hacia... aún no lo sabemos pero estamos y tratamos de dar nuestra impronta. Hace 10 o 20 años atrás blockchain y la cryptomoneda hubiera sido un cuento de hadas y hoy es una realidad que somos privilegiados en vivir.
