I had the idea for this drawing shortly after having to participate in a group activity that I'd been dreading for weeks. In the middle of the activity, a friend of mine leaned over and whispered in my ear, "there is nothing I hate more than forced fun." It was nice to know she was feeling the same thing. But more so, it was nice to have a name for that kind of experience. For weeks I found myself repeating those words in my head – 'forced fun. forced fun. forced fun.'
