$-Pizza has always played a big part in Bitcoin's growth, from as far back as 2010 when 10,000 BTC was used to pay for two pizzas -- the world's first commercial transaction paid with cryptocurrency. Since then, pizzas have been omnipresent at Bitcoin gatherings the world over ... mostly because they taste good, but also because they're the ideal snack for folks who are too excited to sit down to a proper meal.
Lately there's been a lot of debate on Twitter about whether the Bitcoin community has become too toxic with all its trolling and in-fighting, and I wanted to visualize and satirize that toxicity with this illustration. I personally think that online craziness is a side-effect of decentralization and free speech, and we have to accept not everyone is going to be able to articulate themselves in a diplomatic way. I wouldn't say that toxicity is necessarily great, especially if you're on the receiving end, but to me it's also an indicator that there's still a lot of fire and passion in the community ... and that, I think, is what really matters.
