Hypnagogia is a state of consciousness that can occur when falling asleep. A person in the hypnagogic state can experience visual, and auditory hallucinations, sometimes without being able to move (sleep paralysis). The transition from being awake to the hypnagogic state is fluid.
This artwork is an attempt to visualize the hypnagogic state and the dream-like visions or hallucinations that can occur.
