"Empty Promises" is a unique, one of a kind collage birthed during & inspired by the coronavirus quarantines. In my normal practice, I paint abstract acrylic portraits that appear to be a collage or mixed media. For this piece, I actually wanted to create a traditional collage and totally change the direction of my focus, while keeping the same feminine pop aesthetic. I also wanted to use each section to tell more of a story that related to overcoming challenges.
"Empty Promises" represents being BOLD. She represents dreaming BIG and grabbing life by the hand to create your own narrative. She represents living life to the fullest and overcoming ALL obstacles while learning from past mistakes. She inspires CHANGE.
