This image was an entry for a short story I planned to do some work on a while ago but which has yet to be realised.
The image is depicting the protagonist(s)'s entry into the maintenance room in the underbelly of a derelict power station, whereupon they encounter a creature spawned from the darkness of the station. The image attempts to capture the swirling feeling of initial fear and disbelief upon seeing something unnatural and very unexpected in the creeping dark crevices of a room.
I really enjoyed how this one came out considering this was a relativity early foray into telling a story through the medium of 3D rendering.
The image was completed in Blender 2.79 with Photoshop for post processing and colour grading.
