Baptist of Nightfall

// "And it shall come to pass, that some shadows must steal our light. Even to kindred of saints that we are, we must surrender to the night. We borrow the evening, after we commune with the day, Gushing sacred blood like how our lives waste away. And so, dear baptist without waters, let the nightfall come alone, That, perhaps, you don't need it as you have darkness of your own. From the house of Hades, you require wine and bread, For that dark thing inside you hungers and must be fed. You scrape teaspoons of healing from the massive prayer wall. There's a war up ahead, and your weapons are too small. But you're the baptist, dear one. Chosen by the Author of sundown. Tell the waters to rise, and your sorrows will surely drown. You turn cathedrals into dams of power, Delighting in hope and meaningful anger. Let me tell you the truth: the God of night is by your side, Even dark waters shall obey you now; the Devil must find a place to hide." //
