The Loop

Like waves crashing and flowing, I don’t know if I’m coming or going, The loop got me feeling I’m cycling nowhere or something. The cycle of life - it’s a beautiful thing but this ugly loop here has me running in rings, The power it yields as I go back around it, Again and again I really can’t stand it. I’m sure it is feeling like the lord of the ring, Spinning me round, Like I’m it’s plaything. Lupe Fiasco sang ‘til I get there’ but all I can see is I’m going nowhere! This IS a fiasco, I’m moving in loops, Lupe, or loopy, this isn’t a joke, No time to sugar coat, it’s ain’t a fruit loop, like the ‘fruit’ in that title my loop likes to dupe, It’ll tell me it’s fine to go round again, “it’ll be fun!” and we can pretend, that the cycle won’t leave me making amends, Again and again, When does it end.
