If money is our new religion, then there is certainly one person we want on speed dial, the one and only Ben Franklin.

America’s founding father has certainly had a reputation of a rock star during his lifetime, from attending parties with the French Royal Family to having his face placed as plaques on the corner of buildings. Today, this is one of the most recognized faces in the world, given the US dollar is also a global reserve currency.

In this piece, Mihov explores with a tongue-in-cheek the relations between our financial system, in particular the now widely known network of tropical off-shore islands, and consumerist obsessions.

The artwork is available in both physical (oil on canvas) and NFT formats, this being the latter. The work is part of the Broken Capitalism series by Mihov, which has been exhibited at Hatch Art Project in Singapore, UBS Bank, and featured in the likes of Forbes and Mensfolio. The NFT work is started as an HD photograph of the physical work, therefore creating one of a kind digital piece that maintains the imperfections and artist fingerprints from the physical work.
