As viewed at Hatch Art, UBS and in media, usually standing up and proud, gazing into the future with ambition and determination, Lady Liberty is a symbol of our freedoms! However, having substituted the bill of rights with the latest fashion catalogue, has our Lady Liberty become a symbol of our own liberties being eroded by our cult-like obsession with the chase of a luxury lifestyle?
The digital work is based on the physical artwork of the same name, which is currently in the possession of a private collector in Singapore. This is why the canvas imperfections and paint can be observed in the details of the digital work as well. The work is part of the Broken Capitalism series, which has been exhibited at the Hatch Art Project in Singapore, UBS Bank and featured in Forbes, Mensfolio, and The Art Herald, among others.
