An adorable giraffe infant, stretching its neck upwards at a maximum, just to look up to its towering mother. The mother provided a scale to how small the baby actually was; less than 2 months old. It was midday, although the sun was covered by the clouds which gave a perfect opportunity for a B&W picture; as the highlights and shadows were balanced. I like to think of this photo representing us humans; when we look up to our parents metaphorically. Whereas, in the case of the photo, the child is literally looking up to its mother. Taken in Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya.
