Mysterious Version of Da Vinci's 'Salvator Mundi'.

This is a stunning varied depiction of Salvator Mundi'. It was said this was re-discovered in Italy, being unique, but for some scholars, a shocking version of 'Leonardo Di Vinci's original by same name. It's had restoration done on it, but this isn't included in Leonardo Exhibition at the London's National Gallery. Quite a few scholars have disputed this may have been started by Di Vinci, then left it for awhile, until likely, a keen art pupil of Di Vinci's decided to create a whimsical, but controversial version, same image size as Leonardo's original of 18"w x 26"h. That art student surely spent much time emulating Da Vinci's original version in his studio, but, contributed certain unusual elements to give the art an eccentric modern touch.

It is not known the exact date of this radically transformed version, maybe created between 1490 -1500. It depicts Jesus in an anachronistic blue Renaissance dress, making the sign of the cross with his right hand, while holding a cigarette, and an ashtray on left hand. A unknown mystical object glows at end of his leather necklace, over his chest. There's an unidentified symbol floats to his right, like a 3-D, 8-equal sided tetrahedron. A galaxy appears far in the 'heavens' above right side.

It is to note that at least thirty copies, variations of 'Salvator Mundi' had been produced partially by Da Vinci, to his students to followers of Leonardo, some who've been identified.

But this hasn't yet been abled as attributed to Da Vinci's own art, or one of his students, created during Da Vinci's life, so perhaps an unknown painter created this year's after the Renaissance Period.
