Incandescent

Inspired by the coming together of art, fashion & technology - [Incandescent] is the 5th piece of the [ze Luna] collection to be minted on Makersplace.

[Incandescent] is about intense passion and emotion; it is also describing something that is luminous and glowing with intense heat. This intensity is manifested as a figure of white; and white has always been a color I used often in my pieces, and to me it represents purity. More literally - the glowing moon - also contributes to the piece its title.

Intensity here is manifested, represented and symbolized by several elements - the figure draped in white that is 'pure' evokes intensity - not through her clothing - but by the manner of her pose and the elegance that exudes out; it is about the posture as much as it is about the innate passion.

Emotion is seemingly suppressed, overwhelmed by the intensity of the landscape, details, color and environment. [Incandescent] here is not just literal - but also metaphorical and metaphysical.

There is a glowing intensity that I try to portray in this piece - the moon, the environment, the figure. There is an unspoken and innate intensity that occurs within the heart of this piece and all the elements converge to attempt to mediate and negotiate this 'intensity'.

To a point, they harmonize in this Xanadu - a place of astounding beauty, luxury and fulfilment. Intensity intensifies.
