Mundo Loco I

Loco Mundo is a mural that was created as part of the NYC/SoHo street art movement in 2020. Two little girls wrapped in technology contemplate a chain of Alternate Earths above. The world around them is uncertain; filled with curling darkness and fluttering hope.

As someone who’s worked in game dev and art since the early 90’s, I’ve seen the evolution of technology as a tool for both empowerment and self harm, particularly for young women. I often use black and brown girls for my models; they are the brave pioneers of now. My astro-girls speak to how we navigate our current reality; for better or worse, connected but separate.

The original, physical piece is also available for purchase, please contact the artist directly for info.
