Dogs Playing Poker

This art was inspired by my memories that relate to the look of the inside of a retro 50's typical middle class home. The colours, shapes of different furnishings seemed to never look coordinated in a living room. Varied patterns, textures and forms made for a kind of busy layout. I recall turquoise colours standing out, especially in a kitchen. People bought art posters, and framed them rather gaudy like, being images of amateur created landscapes, clown faces, black velvet paintings to the odd, but fascinating, 'Dogs Playing Poker' artwork. Television had 2 or 3 channels & much of the TV shows were in b x w. Electricity began to be overused, with plugin's for all kinds of gadgets all over the house. Strange times indeed.
