When our minds go to dark places, it can be difficult to find the way out. Quieting the mind can seem almost impossible.
We can engage with activities that help us - sometimes very extreme ones like hook suspension. Even so, moments of calmness do not entirely drown out the noise. It takes a lot of work to fully release the deepest tensions that hold us back.
Along the path to catharsis, there is great value in brief moments of respite.
This representation of mental intensity was created with a combination of real world body suspension & photography, image processing through a custom p5.js script, image manipulation in Photoshop, and video editing in After Effects.
