Stoical Artist & A New Slate

NFT art and the NFT community was elusive for me. I sought out the art community that I romanticized as the Bohemian artists of Paris' Montmartre district but all I found was the duality of FOMO and LFG. Then I met Gabe Weis, the new Cubist artist whose Art Show in Venice showed me a new community of the active artists and the real people who embodied them. The more I got to know Gabe the more I understood just how much he was ALSO about community and building value not only to collectors but to Artists themselves. When he made me a "Stoic" (part of his Stoics by Gabe Weis NFT Project) I immediately understood that what he was doing was truly valuable and long term. I collaborated with him for his Stoics project and then it happened... the day that Gabe's (and our) Stoicism was truly tested... the major bot attack of his project that nearly ruined his project on mint day on not only the first day but also the second! It was then that I had to process what I was feeling in real time and in solidarity... This piece comes from that.
