Rainy Evening Homicide on Queen Street

I always loved Toronto's red street cars, that had initially inspired this creation of a rainy evening scene on W. Queen Street, Toronto. What came to mind though, were some odd experiences I had, when I first lived there to attend Ontario College of Art. One evening I happened to look out my 2nd floor apartment window. Across the street two guys tumble out of the 'Holiday Hotel'. A scuffle breaks out. One man was stabbed many times, falling down motionless, as his blood flowed onto sidewalk. Ambulance finally arrived, maybe too late. That event motivated me to recreate the tension I felt then. Here a street car whizzes by as rain is pouring heavily. Noticeable is an old man face down on sidewalk, as blood began to seep slowly from his rain soaked body. Another night-another murder!
