Description

Works inspired by the Greek muses.

Talía (in ancient Greek Θάλεια, "flourishing," from the verb θάλλλεω, thálleô, "to flourish") was one of the two muses of the theater, the one who inspired comedy, and was also the muse of bucolic or pastoral poetry. She was a divinity of rural character and was generally represented as a laughing young woman, of vivacious aspect and mocking look, carrying in her hands a comic mask as her main attribute and, sometimes, a shepherd's staff, a crown of ivy on her head as a symbol of immortality and wearing sandals or sandals. Thalia was the daughter of Zeus and Mnemosyne. She was mother with Apollo of the Coribantes.
